Community Guidelines

At Cineriot, we are building the definitive community for the movie and entertainment world. To ensure this remains a professional, safe, and creative space, we have established these Community Guidelines.

By using Cineriot, you agree to follow these rules. Violating them may result in content removal, account suspension, or a permanent ban.

1. Professionalism & Authenticity

Since we act as a bridge for your career, integrity is key.

• No Fake Casting Calls: You may not post job listings or audition calls that are fake, misleading, or intended to scam users. All casting calls must be verifiable.
• No "Pay-to-Play" Scams: Do not post opportunities that require users to pay upfront fees for auditions or "registration" unless explicitly authorized and clearly labeled as a service.
• Identity: You must use your real name or your recognized professional stage name. Do not impersonate celebrities, industry professionals, or other users.

2. Intellectual Property (Copyright & Personality Rights)

The movie industry runs on IP. Respect it.

• Original Content Only: Only post videos, scripts, music, or photos that you have created or have the legal right to share.
• Copyright Infringement: We strictly comply with the Indian Copyright Act. If you post pirated movies, leaked scripts, or stolen music, we will remove it and may ban you.
• AI-Generated Content & Deepfakes: You are prohibited from uploading content that uses AI to replicate the likeness, voice, or image of any person (celebrity or peer) without their explicit written consent. Any "Deepfake" content intended to deceive, defame, or harass will result in an immediate permanent ban.

3. Safety and Dignity

• Harassment & Bullying: We have zero tolerance for harassment. Do not send unwanted sexual advances, threaten others, or target individuals with malicious insults.
• Hate Speech: Do not post content that attacks people based on their race, ethnicity, caste, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or disease.
• Sexual Violence & Exploitation: We strictly prohibit content that promotes sexual violence, non-consensual sexual content, or the exploitation of others (including "casting couch" propositions).

4. Dangerous Content

• Violence & Incitement: Do not post content that encourages real-world violence, terrorism, or organized crime.
• Self-Harm: Do not post content that encourages or idealizes suicide or self-harm.
• Illegal Goods: Do not use our platform to sell drugs, weapons, or regulated goods.

5. Nudity and Sexual Content

• Explicit Content: Hardcore pornography is strictly prohibited.
• Artistic Nudity: We understand that movies involve artistic expression. However, sexually explicit content without artistic merit or educational value, and any non-consensual sexual imagery (revenge porn), will be removed immediately.

6. Spam and Platform Manipulation

• Do not use automation to post content or like posts.
• Do not send bulk unsolicited messages (spam) to other users regarding services or products.
• Do not manipulate engagement (buying likes/followers).

7. Reporting and Enforcement

How to Report

If you see something that violates these guidelines, use the "Report" feature on the post or profile.

Enforcement Actions

When we identify a violation, we may take the following actions depending on severity:

• Warning: We may send you a warning letting you know you broke the rules.
• Content Removal: We will remove the offending post. For content related to Section 3 (Safety) and Section 5 (Nudity/Sexual Content), we will remove or disable access to the information within 24 hours of receiving a complaint.
• Temporary Suspension: Your account may be set to "read-only" or suspended for a set period (e.g., 24 hours, 7 days).
• Permanent Ban: For severe or repeated violations, we will permanently disable your account.

Appeal

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may appeal the decision by contacting our Grievance Officer at grievance@cineriot.com.
